For quite some time, things had been quiet regarding the former ÖBB Class 1014 locomotives from ZTT that had been returned to service.
After several technical modifications, the 1014.003 and 1014.008 completed a load test run on August 13, 2020. During the test, the GAG 61890 slag train operated by Grampet Cargo Austria was hauled from Moosbierbaum-Heiligeneich to Mistelbach and back to Leopoldau on the Laaer Ostbahn in the Weinviertel region. The scheduled 1142.630 remained uncoupled from the train during the run.
The two 1014-series locomotives are currently stationed in Strasshof, from where the previous special locomotive train had also been routed to Leopoldau.
A mechanical watch movement is very complex and consists of many small gears, springs, and screws. For a movement to run to the second, a high degree of accuracy and precision is required.

We have been leasing this BG G 1206 locomotive since January 1, 2020. The BR V 60 West locomotive (No. 363 121-5) is also still in Rostock.

Nope, but eventually their time ran out, and with the "Truck Walter" background, we needed a little more reliability 😉

More MLWs Return to Service
Two more Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) Class 1550 diesel locomotives returned to service in July. CP 1554 made its first test run following repairs on July 8. The locomotive will be based at Entroncamento to haul rescue trains and perform other special duties.
1552 has become the second Class 1550 to enter service with Takargo and, alongside its sister locomotive 1565, is being used on steel trains between Siderurgia Nacional and the Setúbal docks. 1563 is next in line for an overhaul by Takargo, and 1567 may also return to service with the freight operator. Takargo 1552 is seen at Pinhal Novo on July 17, 2020, with a train of empty steel carriers returning from the Setúbal-Mar docks to Triagem da Siderurgia Nacional. João Balseiro

The two locomotives were assembled in Brühl-Vochem and are scheduled to be sent to Max Becker on Saturday to be scrapped.
Is the dismantling supposed to take place in Godorf?!

On July 29, 2020, Salzland Rail Service GmbH (SRS) acquired three Class 143 locomotives from Mitteldeutsche Eisenbahn GmbH (MEG). Locomotives 143 020, 175, and 257 were transferred on July 31, and 143 257 was parked in Lutherstadt Wittenberg due to time constraints.
CER Cargo Slovakia will soon receive two Class 742 diesel locomotives that have been modernized by CZ Loko. The locomotives, designated 742 761 and 762 and classified as EffiShunter 1000M models, will be operational in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Croatia.
The two locomotives, ordered in the second half of 2019, correspond to the 50 locomotives (nos. 742 711 through 760) that were modernized for CD Cargo from 2020 through 2022: Caterpillar 3508C with 1,000 kW, paired with a Siemens 1FC2 560-6 traction generator, a top speed of 100 km/h, and a weight of 70 t. Unlike CD Cargo’s ETCS-equipped locomotives, the CER locomotives are equipped with the Indusi and Mirel VZ1 train control systems.
