The management team of Wanne-Herner Eisenbahn und Hafen GmbH (WHE) was reconstituted effective January 1, 2020. It consists of Mirko Strauss, who has been serving as interim managing director since April 1, 2019; as a long-time sales manager and authorized signatory, he had temporarily taken over management of the company following the departure of his predecessor, Christian Theiss.
Ulrich Koch, who has served as a member of the executive board of Stadtwerke Herne AG—WHE’s majority shareholder—since January 1, 2008, is the part-time managing director. Koch had previously held the same position at WHE until the end of 2012.
