More MLWs return to service
Two more Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) Class 1550 diesels returned to service during July. CP 1554 made its first test run following repairs on 8 July. The loco will be based at Entroncamento for hauling rescue trains and other special duties.
1552 has become the second Class 1550 to enter service with Takargo and alongside sister 1565 is being used on steel trains between Siderurgia Nacional and Setúbal docks. 1563 is next in line for overhaul for Takargo and 1567 may also return to service with the freight operator. João Balseiro
