Dear Karl Arne RICHTER, thank you for this comment. It is indeed possible to load 2 x 45ft reefer containers on one 90ft railcar. Our 92ft wagon is specially developed for 13.60 m and/or 45ft reefer swap bodies on which the refrigeration system exceeds the 45ft dimensions. For those units, for security reasons, the refrigeration system would need to be turned towards the central bogie/platform of the 90ft wagon. In that case it is not possible to load 2 x 13.60/45ft units on one 90ft wagon. Our 92ft wagon is longer and allows you to load 2 x 13.60/45ft swap bodies any way around.

Ich denke dafür ist es gemacht

New Cars for Modalis / RDT 13

Since May 29, 2020, the French regional rail operator Régie Départementale des Transports des Bouches-du-Rhône (RDT 13) has been using new railcars and containers for household waste transport between Marseille and the EveRé incineration plant in Fos-sur-Mer.

The leasing company Modalis SAS, based in Aix-en-Provence, has acquired 110 new 60-foot Sgnss containers from the manufacturer Tatravagónka Poprad, as well as 400 20-foot open-top containers from Italy (?). The green containers are operated from the Saint-Louis-les-Aygalades transshipment facility (north), while the brown ones are operated from Marseille-Blancarde (south). Approximately 130 containers are transported to Fos-sur-Mer each day—about 400,000 metric tons annually.
