Since March 8, 2020, Captrain Deutschland CargoWest (CCW) has been transporting 16 trains carrying pipes from Mannesmann Beddingen to Bad Bentheim. These pipes are being used in the construction of the“Zeelink”gas pipeline between Aachen and Legden. After being unloaded from the trucks, the pipes currently being delivered are transported to Borken. Captrain had previously carried out similar transports to Stolberg in the Rhineland.
Zeelink is a long-distance pipeline currently under construction for the transport of natural gas in North Rhine-Westphalia. It begins at the German-Belgian border in Lichtenbusch and runs to St. Hubert. From there, the pipeline continues on to Legden near Ahaus
